Abstract From the Canadian patent

Methods and apparatus for the preparation of a substrate having an array of diverse materials in predefined regions thereon. A substrate having an array of, diverse materials thereon is generally prepared by depositing components of target, materials to predefined regions on the substrate and, in some embodiments, simultaneously reacting the components to form at least two resulting materials. In, particular, the present invention provides novel masking systems and methods for, applying components of target materials onto a substrate in a combinatorial fashion, thus, creating arrays of resulting materials that differ slightly in composition stoichiometry, and/or thickness. Using the …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed November 24, 1998. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended November 24, 2018.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by November 24, 2020.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
