A coupling adaptor unit permits a metering device such as a meter registering unit to, attach to a fluid meter impeller unit such as a water meter when the meter registering unit, and the fluid meter impeller unit may not inherently attach to one another. The coupling, adaptor unit comprises a body comprising first coupling component for coupling with the, fluid meter impeller unit and a second coupling component for coupling with the meter, registering unit.
