A hydrous resin composition suitably employed in producing preexpanded polyolefin resin particles, which contains a polyolefin resin and a hydrophilic polymer and which has a water content of 1 to 50 % by weight; and preexpanded polyolefin resin particles obtained by preexpanding the hydrous resin composition and having an apparent expansion ratio of 5 to 60 a closed , cell ratio of 80 to 100 %, and an average cell diameter of 50 to 500 µm. The preexpanded particles can be produced without the use of a volatile expanding agent by dispersing resin particles produced from a resin composition containing a polyolefin resin and a hydrophilic polymer in a waterbase dispersion medium in a …

Why it's free to use
- Filed April 1, 1997 and granted January 21, 2003. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended April 1, 2017.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by April 1, 2019.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
