According to the process, pairs or pressure and temperature are recorded with a pressure sensor and a temperature sensor attached to the skin on the outside and in contact with the gas dielectric to calculate a value for the density of the gas dielectric for each pair. Simultaneous with pressure and temperature the electric current flowing through the electrical equipment inside the skin and one climatic parameter from outside the skin are recorded to assign an index to each density value to determine the rate of leakage with improved accuracy using indexed rates of leakage obtained using density values with the same index.

Why it's free to use
- Filed October 22, 1998. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended October 22, 2018.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by October 22, 2020.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
