Disclosed is an adsorbent comprising a .beta.-zeolite molecular sieve, which .beta.-zeolite consists essentially of Fe, H, O, Si and Al, with Fe in a molar amount at least equal to that of Al and the molar ratio of Si/Al being 80 or more. As compared with an adsorbent comprising a zeolite (an aluminosilicate) of at least about equal Si/(Fe+Al) molar ratio (Fe is substantially absent) the, adsorbent of the present invention has high heat resistance and high hydrothermal resistance, and can maintain adsorption capability even when exposed to high temperatures.

Why it's free to use
- Filed January 6, 1998 and granted December 11, 2001. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended January 6, 2018.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by January 6, 2020.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
