No Claude kit for weapons

Claude doesn't help design weapons, ammunition or explosives, so this page has no Reinvent kit. To develop this one, work with a federally licensed manufacturer (many of these items are regulated) and a registered patent attorney or agent, listed on the USPTO roster.

A method of maintaining a laser weapon target aim point. The method includes the step of selecting an aimpoint (42) on a target (24). The target is then engaged with a laser beam (23). The tracker (36) then receives target scene information, and detects both a target image and a target laser hit spot (40). The tracker (36) then determines the vector distance between the target aimpoint and the target laser hit spot and drives the vector distance, (70) to zero to close the loop between the target aimpoint and the target laser hit spot location. The method and system of the present invention thereby increase the probability of a target kill by enabling the tracking system to maintain a laser …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed July 22, 1998 and granted September 11, 2001. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended July 22, 2018.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by July 22, 2020.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
