A system is provided for providing syringes filled with pharmaceuticals whose components must be stored separately, using an active ingredient in a pharmaceutical vial (2), a diluent in a protosyringe such as a bottomless vial (4) or a cartridge, and a combiner assembly which enables the content of the pharmaceutical vial to be transferred into the protosyringe and converts it into a ready-to-use syringe on activation.
