Arrangement for triggering a restraint device in a motor vehicle, Arrangement for triggering a restraint device in a motor vehicle, in which an ignition device (3) is connected to a logic circuit (33) via a line (2) with an evaluation device (1). A d.c. signal (U) for operating the ignition device (3) is input into the line (2). An alternating signal (.DELTA.U) containing a message is additively superimposed on the d.c. signal (U) and is transmitted from the evaluation device (1) to the ignition device (3).
