The methods include the application of a growth-promoting hormone such as abscisic acid (ABA) to the immature embryos during development. The embryos are also water stressed during development. The concentration of the ABA undergoes a net increase relative to its initial concentration to reach a peak prior to discontinuing ABA treatment when the embryos have attained a moisture content of between 32 and 55%. Why it's free to use

  • Filed June 5, 1998. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended June 5, 2018.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by June 5, 2020.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
