A thrust reverser for a jet turbine engine comprises pivoting hollow doors (3) integrated in forward thrust with the external fairing of the nacelle and constituting in reverse thrust obstacles for deflecting flow to form scoops. A movable part forming a cap (23) is positioned in forward thrust between the upstream edge of the door (3) and the upstream fixed structure (6) covering the downstream structure of the forward frame (8). The upstream cap (23) is articulated on the fixed structure and connected to control means uncovers in reverse thrust the downstream structure of the forward frame (8) which has an aerodynamic surface for directing the reversed thrust.

Why it's free to use
- Filed June 1, 1998. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended June 1, 2018.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by June 1, 2020.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
