An air pervious disposable liner for use with a lawn mower is described. The liner is inserted into the grass catching receptacle of the lawn mower such that grass clippings generated by the lawn mower flow into the grass catching receptacle and fill the liner. As a result of this arrangement debris discharged by the lawn mower, such as stones or rocks that would pierce the liner alone are retained by the grass catcher receptacle and therefore will not injure the user. Once the liner is full the, grass catching receptacle is disconnected from the lawn mower and the liner is removed from the grass catching receptacle and discarded.

Why it's free to use
- Filed May 15, 1998. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended May 15, 2018.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by May 15, 2020.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
