A cyclone leg sealing system is composed of one or more intermediate solidsaccumulation chambers (21) delimited by two sealing valves (10 and 12) in series, the function of the valves being to prevent the back-flow of particulate material towards the inside of the separating cyclones in fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) processes, thereby ensuring the maximum efficiency of the separating effected by the cyclone.

Why it's free to use
- Filed December 27, 1996 and granted March 12, 2002. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended December 27, 2016.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by December 27, 2018.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
