A method and apparatus for facilitating re-entry of the lateral by coil tubing which avoids hunt and find methods. A guide hung from the coil tubing is provided with an orientation mechanism such that said guide will properly orient with the original whipstock packer thus providing a kick off surface , for the coil tubing in the desired direction of the lateral.
