Abstract From the Canadian patent

Before the Winter season comes, it is known that motorists get ready to face the hardships of driving on snow and ice equipping their vehicles with rugged snow or four seasons tires, also carrying chains, picks, shovels and other gadgets to help them out in a frustrating situation and all that are, often proven to be totally worthless specially on frozen hilly roads situation, not to mention that they couldn't prevent dangerous or even fatal skids, plus the cost and incoveniences of salting and sanding of the roads. This novel equipment increases the adherence of the vehicle to the ground a great deal, improving its smooth motion and maneuverability on unstable terrain.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed March 30, 1998. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended March 30, 2018.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by March 30, 2020.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
