A large bale lift for a flat bed truck includes a lift assembly with a transverse lift housing. The lift housing is pivotably attached to the rear of the truck bed and is selectively pivotable between a raised position immediately adjacent the rear of the bed and a lowered position immediately below and behind the truck bed. A pair of telescoping gripper arms are pivotably attached to respective opposing ends of the lift housing such that they are, in turn, selectively pivotable between a raised neutral position immediately adjacent each respective end of the lift housing and a lowered, gripping position where they are pivoted downward and the gripper arm ends are pivoted inward toward each …
