According to one aspect of the invention there is provided a method for creating application specific program interfaces for COM-based computer programs by means of an embedded HTML viewer, whereby an application specific view of any multimedia data object or information processing task can observed on a computer display and acted upon by the user via an embedded dynamic HTML viewer.
