A grinding mill comprising a substantially cylindrical body is arranged to rotate about a substantially horizontal axis. The body includes a grinding portion adjacent to a discharge portion with the discharge portion comprising a discharge end wall arranged for the passage therethrough of material to be discharged from the mill. A truncated conical or a truncated pyramidal screening wall is located inwardly of the discharge end wall and has its notional vertex remote from the grinding portion.
