In the improved method of shaping a semisolid metal liquid alloy having crystal nuclei and at a temperature not lower than the liquidus temperature or a partially solid partially liquid alloy having crystal nuclei and at a temperature less than the liquidus temperature but not lower than the molding temperature is poured into a holding vessel having a thermal conductivity of at least 1 kcal/mh°C cooled at an average cooling rate of 0.01 °C/s - 3.0 °C/s and held as such until just prior to the start of shaping under pressure, whereby fine primary crystals are generated in said alloy solution and the alloy within said holding vessel is temperature adjusted by induction heating such that the …

Why it's free to use
- Filed November 6, 1997. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended November 6, 2017.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by November 6, 2019.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
