An improved mount for a turntable in which wheels supporting the rotating platform on a base are provided with springs biasing the wheels into the platform to compensate for irregularities. A method is provided for retrofitting existing turntables with wheel mounts spaced from the base by mortar involving removal of the mortar and providing springs in the space occupied by the mortar.
