Abstract From the Canadian patent

57) Abstract, The in on concerns a measuring system for enclosed highvoltage switchgear having at least two single-phase encapsulated poles (1, 2, 3) with dielectric dielectric interference sensors (5 6, 7) and with a detector, device (4) connected to the sensors in order to emit a signal in the event of interference. The measuring system comprises a time comparator (8) which blocks the emission of a signal if the time difference between two interference signals from sensors (5, 6 7) of different phases falls short, of a given time interval which is in particular adjustable.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed January 24, 1996 and granted August 21, 2001. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended January 24, 2016.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by January 24, 2018.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
