Abstract From the Canadian patent

When a feeding coupler is formed as part of a brush holder feeding terminals, need not be embedded at the time of molding the brush holder using a resin. A feeding coupler 13 is shaped like a bottomed cylinder having an opening on a side thereof opposed to a yoke. Through the opening feeding terminals 14 can be put, and a retainer 16 for positioning and supporting the put terminals can also be put. The retainer has a coming-off preventing portion 16b which is sandwiched between the brush, holder 4 and yoke to prevent the retainer from coming off through an opening jutted out.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed July 29, 1997 and granted April 22, 2003. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended July 29, 2017.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by July 29, 2019.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
