A system and method determines internal radioactivity and absorbed dose estimates of a patient more accurately and with greater ease. Internal radioactivity is determined by the CAMI system and method which uses uptake information from the gamma camera images and anatomic data from CT scans. Absorbed dose estimates are obtained by the MAVSK system and method which uses a MCNP to simulate a voxel source kernel for 90Y analogous to a point source function.

Why it's free to use
- Filed July 21, 1997 and granted November 9, 1999. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended July 21, 2017.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by July 21, 2019.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
