Methods of continuously producing sequential lengths of different additive-containing melt-spun filaments include continuously supplying a melt-spinnable polymeric host material to orifices of a spinneret and controllably dosing at least one dispersible additive concentrate systems containing a pigment in a liquid nonaqueous polymeric carrier to the melt flow of polymeric host material upstream of the spinneret orifices. In such a manner, a first polymeric mixture of the dispersible additive concentrate system and the polymeric host material is obtaine which achieves an additive attribute. During a first time interval, the first mixture is extruded through the spinneret orifices; and …

Why it's free to use
- Filed December 3, 1996 and granted May 1, 2001. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended December 3, 2016.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by December 3, 2018.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
