Abstract From the Canadian patent

The invention concerns a variable-geometry injection system with airflow regulated by engine rpm. Airflow regulation via the internal screw (7) associated with the fuel injector tip (4) supplied by an intake tube (3) is provided by a moveable obturator (14) mounted axially and displaced by bellows (20 21, 23) connecting it with the intake tube (3) and with the tip (4). Fuel pressure P1 in the intake line acts on the bellows (20 21, 23) to displace the obturator (14) axially between a position where the orifices of the screw (7) are blocked at low rpm and fully open at high rpm.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed May 6, 1997. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended May 6, 2017.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by May 6, 2019.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
