In the process of freezing (or fast freezing) of vegetables meats, poultry, fish and other foods, care must be taken to ensure that the freezing temperature level is maintained from the time of processing to consumption including also the periods of delivery handling, storage and marketing. The purpose of this invention is to visually determine that a frozen or fast-frozen product to be processed, stored and distributed at a determined and specific minimum temperature has not sustained any break or detrimental difference in its isothermic consistency.

Why it's free to use
- Filed May 1, 1997. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended May 1, 2017.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by May 1, 2019.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
