Abstract From the Canadian patent

A transfer mechanism is operatively disposed between a conveyor for dynamo-electric machine parts (such as electric motor armatures) and apparatus for simultaneously processing a plurality of those parts (e.g. by winding coils of wire on those parts). The transfer mechanism delivers processed parts to the conveyor and receives unprocessed dynamo-electric machine parts from the conveyor, one at a time in a single alignment position, at least partly concurrent with the processing of other parts. Loss in production time due to wire breakage at the processing apparatus is reduced by substantially instantaneously controlling the broken wire (e.g. by retracting that wire relative to the …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed April 22, 1997. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended April 22, 2017.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by April 22, 2019.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
