Abstract From the Canadian patent

This is a process to optimize radio communication between a control station (1) with a number of antennas (2) and a moving vehicle (5) by handling at the control station every Si(t) signal received or sent by every antenna so as to determine a correcting signal Si(t) = hi(t) ~ Si(t) hi(t) being an approximation of the time reversal of the impulse response hi(t) between the antenna and the moving vehicle.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed April 16, 1997 and granted June 12, 2001. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended April 16, 2017.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by April 16, 2019.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
