A method of using humates and/or modified humates as adjuvants in pesticides is disclosed. Effective amounts of the humate and/or modified humate adjuvants are added to the pesticide or, more preferably, biopesticide formulations at the time of formulation or are mixed with the pesticide or biopesticide at the time of application. Such addition provides superior protection from damage caused by UV light and thereby, stabilizes the pesticide and enhances activity.

Why it's free to use
- Filed March 26, 1997 and granted April 24, 2001. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended March 26, 2017.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by March 26, 2019.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
