This invention makes reading the titles on the edges of laser disk boxes easier using an optical magnifier attached on the width of the case. The translucent colour in the mass of the part making up the magnifier enables classification using different colours. This magnifying and classification device for laser disk cases is fastened using two hooks integrated into the part forming the optical magnifier thus allowing for simple, quick installation on the edge of laser disk cases.

Why it's free to use
- Filed February 21, 1997 and granted December 3, 2002. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended February 21, 2017.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by February 21, 2019.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
