An improved tube for handling fluent materials such as caulking includes a plurality of ribs that form air escape spaces. The ribs extend inwardly from an inner peripheral wall of the tube for a very small distance. The ribs form an air space between a plunger and the tube allowing air to escape rearwardly of the plunger. In another feature of this invention a color plastic sleeve is received on a nozzle for the tube to provide an identification of the color of the caulking received within the tube.

Why it's free to use
- Filed January 28, 1997 and granted February 10, 1998. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended January 28, 2017.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by January 28, 2019.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
