Disclosed herein is a room temperature moisture-curable abrasion-resistant coating that is formulated from (A) a multifunctional acrylate, (B) an alkoxyfunctional organometallic compound of the general formula (OR)4M wherein M is selected from Ti or Si atom and (C) a trialkoxyaminosilane. The ratio of (C) to (A) is selected such that the molar ratio of NH2 groups to functional acrylate groups is at least 10:1. The claimed composition has enhanced weatherability because our cure mechanism relies on moisture and is not adversely affected by the inclusion of substantially high quantities of ultraviolet protectants in the form of ultraviolet light absorbers and free radical scavengers.

Why it's free to use
- Filed January 24, 1997. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended January 24, 2017.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by January 24, 2019.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
