Abstract From the Canadian patent

The line section of a gas-insulated line (1) contains a high-voltage electric conductor (4) and a pressure pipe (3) which is made from a thermoplastic material, is filled with insulating gas and holds the electric conductor (4) on insulated supports (2). The pressure pipe (3) has two pipe sections (6 7) which, are welded to one another on the end face and are respectively widened like a trumpet in the radial direction on the end faces facing one another. This conductor section can be produced in an extremely cost-effective fashion and is distinguished at the same time by outstanding dielectric properties.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed January 15, 1997. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended January 15, 2017.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by January 15, 2019.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
