No Claude kit for weapons

Claude doesn't help design weapons, ammunition or explosives, so this page has no Reinvent kit. To develop this one, work with a federally licensed manufacturer (many of these items are regulated) and a registered patent attorney or agent, listed on the USPTO roster.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed June 29, 1995 and granted June 6, 2000. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended June 29, 2015.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by June 29, 2017.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
