Abstract From the Canadian patent

A stereo slide viewer can appreciate a stereo image without cutting a roll film photographed by a stereo camera. A film feeder for feeding a roll film is mounted at the rear of a table of the stereo side viewer and a pair of right and left projection lenses are provided at the intermediate of the table. A pair of right and left focal plates are mounted at the front of the table, and eyepieces are installed oppositely at the focal plates. The back surface of the film feeder is illuminated by an illuminator, and one set of images is focused on the right and left focal plates through the windows of the film feeder.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed October 18, 1996 and granted February 22, 2000. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended October 18, 2016.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by October 18, 2018.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
