The fluid transport network includes a plurality of bicomponent capillary channel fibers capable of intra-fiber fluid transport. The fibers have a base portion and at least two walls extending from the base portion to form an external capillary channel. The walls and the base portion are made of a first polymeric material which has a first melting point temperature. The distal ends of the capillary channel walls are made of a second polymeric material which has a second melting point temperature lower than the first melting point temperature. Why it's free to use

  • Filed April 28, 1995 and granted October 10, 2000. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended April 28, 2015.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by April 28, 2017.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
