Process and Apparatus for a fully automated magnesium melt system. Raw magnesium ingots are moved through a preheater chamber heated by radiant heat panels where they are thoroughly dried by being controllably heated to a temperature range of about 150°C to 250°C preferably 200°C to 225°C before they are introduced into a melt cell also referred to as a furnace. The ingots are, monitored for temperature by an infra red temperature sensor or a direct contact type thermocouple and this determines whether the ingot is ready to be charged into the furnace. Why it's free to use
- Filed June 6, 1995 and granted April 20, 1999. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended June 6, 2015.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by June 6, 2017.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
