A modular electrical connector assembly to which an electrical telecommunication cable is connectable for communicating electrical signals between the connector assembly and cable. The connector assembly includes an electrically nonconductive body and a crosstalk energy emitting electrical interference source on the body and/or on or proximate the connector assembly. Electrically conductive first and second leads on the body define an electrical signal circuit for carrying electrical signals communicatable with the cable. The first lead is located more closely proximate to the interference source than is the second lead such that a greater amount of crosstalk energy from the interference …

Why it's free to use
- Filed June 10, 1996 and granted January 16, 2001. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended June 10, 2016.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by June 10, 2018.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
