A low-voltage heating system that produces a reduced magentic field and which uses insulated copper wires or equivalents, as heating, elements. Its low operating temperature robustness and safety enable the, system to be installed in floors and walls for the general heating of buildings, and in outdoor pavements, for snow-melting purposes. The feeder busbars are configured to reduce the magnetic field around the feeder. A monitoring network continually checks the integrity of the heating system.

Why it's free to use
- Filed May 29, 1996 and granted June 27, 2000. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended May 29, 2016.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by May 29, 2018.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
