An adjustable pivot valve assembly (10) for use in a fluid flow system (S). A valve body (12) has a fluid flow path therethrough and includes an inlet (14) an outlet (16), and a, valve orifice (18) formed intermediate the inlet and outlet. A valve seat (28) is mounted for movement relative to the orifice to open and close the fluid path. The valve seat is attached to a valve stem (30). A solenoid assembly (50) is supplied with an input from a sensor/control unit (S) to effect movement of the valve seat.
