A system for digital selection diversity includes receiving different versions of a signal at different antennas (222 226) of a receiver, (210), and processing the different versions on separate branches each having a digital downconverter (224 228) and filter (232, 236). The, filters are controlled by a diversity switch selector (250) so that one acts to filter (the active branch) and the others decimate their respective input signal versions, based on detected signal quality. Why it's free to use
- Filed July 20, 1995 and granted October 24, 2000. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended July 20, 2015.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by July 20, 2017.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
