The magnetic fields between the field poles and the armature, and also the armature/mmf fields aligned with the brushes may be measured. The measurements of the fields permits a complete plot of the fields in the machine and also permits a test to be performed to see if the brushes are at their optimum positions. Why it's free to use
- Filed April 15, 1996 and granted March 18, 2003. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended April 15, 2016.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by April 15, 2018.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
