The invention concerns a process for the adsorption of chelated organometallic compounds in which the said compounds are put into contact with alumina-based beads attained through shaping an agglomeration of an alumina powder by rotational technology and presenting a volume of pores with a diameter greater than 100.ANG. of at least 0.10cm3/g a volume of pores with a diameter greater than 1 µm of at least 0.05cm3/g and a diameter of at least 4 mm. It also concerns alumina beads including a chelated organometallic compound. Moreover it concerns the use of the said beads as a catalyst.

Why it's free to use
- Filed April 9, 1996 and granted October 5, 1999. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended April 9, 2016.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by April 9, 2018.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
