Volatile organic compounds and water vapor are recovered from a lowboiling gas by compressing the gas to an elevated pressure and cooling the gas in stages to condense volatile components and water while avoiding freezing in the system. Operating the system at an elevated pressure increases condensation efficiency, reduces the number of stages required and minimizes operating problems to avoid freezing.

Why it's free to use
- Filed November 23, 1994. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended November 23, 2014.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by November 23, 2016.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
