In a method for printing a textile fabric both with a color imprint and with a metallization, first the metallizing is applied - at least area-wise - and is then overprinted wholly or partially with the color printing by the thermal transfer process. This results in interesting new aesthetic effects. The effect of the color printing is modified by the metallization beneath it. Natural fiber fabrics can also be printed by this method. -6-

Why it's free to use
- Filed March 23, 1994. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended March 23, 2014.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by March 23, 2016.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
