Abstract From the Canadian patent

A dual energy gamma-ray transmission gauge (10) includes radioisotope sources (11) for emitting gamma-rays (l3) of two different energies. Gauge (10) also includes a gamma-ray detector which produces signals as a response to the detected gammarays. fi single energy gamma-ray transmission (17) is disposed upstream of gauge (10) for providing further signals indicative of the respectively detected gamma-rays. These signals are subsequently directed to a processing computer (16) together with signals indicative of the pressure and temperature of the flow obtained from two sensor means (18, 19). The intensities of the gamma-rays are recorded and thereafter a value indicative of the mass …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed May 20, 1993 and granted July 15, 2003. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended May 20, 2013.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by May 20, 2015.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
