Abstract From the Canadian patent

A cabin 1 of a helicopter is separated structurally from an airframe 2, and the cabin is supported on the airframe 2 by using both springs 6 and actuators 7. The high frequency vibration, which is the mast uncomfortable high frequency component of the number of revolutions of rotor, is absorbed by soft springs, and the resonance of the spring and the rotor rotation is actively inhibited by actuators, so that the vibrations of wide frequency is removed from the cabin, thereby achieving comfortableness to ride in the helicopter.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed March 16, 1994 and granted December 7, 1999. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended March 16, 2014.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by March 16, 2016.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
