Abstract From the Canadian patent

The presence of T cell receptor genes specific to T cell clones accumulated in a test sample can be detected by preparing cDNAs from T cells in the test sample, amplifying T cell receptor genes in the cDNAs by PCR and analyzing the amplified genes by a single strand conformation (SSCP) technique.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed April 30, 1993. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended April 30, 2013.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by April 30, 2015.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
