Pumping mechanisms for performing peritoneal dialysis and the line employ a pumping mechanism comprising a diaphragm (59) that operate is response to applied fluid presence. Flexible tubing is attached to the pumping mechanism for carrying liquid to and from the patient's peritoneal cavity. An actuating station for pumping mechanism receives the pumping mechanism and attached robing. A pressure transfer element (104) conveys fluid pressure to the diaphragm (59) for moving liquid through the cassette. An occluder element (138 144), conflicts and crimps closed the tubing attached to the cassette. A first reservoir (128) inflates with positive said pressure for contacting the pressure …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed February 28, 1994 and granted October 9, 2001. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended February 28, 2014.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by February 28, 2016.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
