A synchronous adder device comprising an A/D converter for digitizing a receive signal transmitted through a plurality of subcarriers by sampling it and an adding unit for determining the value of synchronous addition for each sample is provided with synthetic waveform shaping filters for waveform-shaping every other subcarrier, squaring units for squaring the respective outputs of the synthetic waveform shaping filters, and a low pass filter for removing a harmonic components from the sum of outputs of the squaring units. In the case where the signal is transmitted through four subcarriers, synchronous addition becomes possible by using the synthetic waveform shaping filters the number of …

Why it's free to use
- Filed October 4, 1994 and granted April 13, 1999. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended October 4, 2014.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by October 4, 2016.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
