The present invention provides a pneumatic radial tire with enhanced noise reduction and water releasing ability by trapping air into a circumferential groove formed on the tread as the air therein gets compressed and expanded before it gets release. The pneumatic radial tire with rib-lug type tread pattern is formed by circumferential grooves G1-G5 and several radial grooves G11-G17 which have a certain slant angle to the said circumferential grooves. When both lugs 3,3' are connected the tread of the pneumatic radial tire will be in the form of zig-zag line and, in order to accomplish efficient trapping and allocation of air within both, lugs 3,3' and each ribs 1a 1a', 1b, lb' a series of …

Why it's free to use
- Filed September 19, 1994 and granted December 8, 1998. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended September 19, 2014.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by September 19, 2016.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
